North Wales has so much to offer Things to do and see

This walk will take you to the very top of the hill that is Moel Llyfnant, and lead you through the lost village of Tryweryn, which was partially flooded when the Llyn Celyn reservoir was opened in the early 1960s.

For a medium length walk through the lush green valleys of Snowdonia, you can’t get much better than this one around Dolwyddelan. Lasting around four miles, the walk is a lovely way to spend your day, and you can even have a bite to eat at the café.

Known as Rhaeadr Fawr in Welsh, the waterfall measures almost 40 metres in height, formed by the Afon Goch flowing down the Carneddau foothills. They are found a short walk (roughly two miles) south of the village of Abergwyngregyn, and serve as the major attraction of the area. Well worth a visit, the walk is as enjoyable as seeing the falls.

If you can’t resist a historical day out, Conwy is an ideal location and you won’t want to miss out on Aberconwy House. Known as a hidden gem on the High Street, Aberconwy House is the oldest building in Conwy.

This short 2 walks – measuring just a couple of miles – won’t take you all day, but it will leave you with some lasting memories. It mostly consists of walking around the village of Aberdaron, taking in the sights such as the church that dates back to the 12th century, before taking a boat to explore the Holy Isle of Bardsey for a while.

This walk takes place at the most westerly point of North Wales, all the way out on the Llyn Peninsula. Starting and ending in Aberdaron, an ancient village that dates back centuries, this walk takes you around the cliffs, offering some spectacular and dramatic views out onto the sea. Be sure to take your camera!

Aberdovey Golf Club is set within the beautiful area of the Snowdonia National Park, more specifically just outside of the village from which it takes its name, which you will find in the county of Gwynedd in North Wales.
