Betws-y-Coed is the most visited village in Snowdonia. The town is surrounded by steep wooded hills giving it an alpine appearance. The Afon Llugwy (river Llugwy) runs through the village and a number of marked footpaths run along the riverbank and through the forests. There are a large number of restaurants, bars, cafes and shops including outdoor/climbing shops which line the main road of the town. This is a must visit destination for the area and close by are a number of other attractions like Swallow Falls and Zip Fforest.
