Location

St Katherines is a beautiful and imposing Victorian red brick villa typical of many built in Llandudno in its Victorian heyday. Set well back from a quiet but desirable street in this popular coastal resort town, it is within walking distance of the town's two beaches, the Victorian pier and promenade, a 9-hole family golf course, the North Wales Golf Club (1 mile) and a dry ski slope.

The Great Orme - one of two picturesque limestone headlands which have shaped the town's history since the Bronze age - is a large Country Park right on the doorstep, with wild goats and many unusual plants and insects as well as the possibility of sighting seals and dolphins from the circular walk around the Orme. Venue Cymru the local theatre regularly hosts the Welsh National Opera and Orchestra as well as many other national and international stars. The town has many lovely restaurants, cafes, shops, art galleries and museums, and is so well regarded across the country that it has recently been voted one of the best 20 seaside resorts in Britain (out of 97) by Which Magazine.

The Wider Area: All this and yet you have hardly scratched the surface, a short drive out of town will bring you to the World Heritage site the walled town and castle at Conwy, a little further and you enter the Snowdonia National Park with all the wonder and excitement this has to offer, from surfing on a manmade inland lagoon to zooming down Europe's longest zip wire, mountain biking down purpose made trails, bouncing in underground caverns, walking gently along the coast or mountaineering around Mount Snowdon. Coastal activities also abound and there are numerous gardens and National Trust properties (incl Bodnant Gardens) within easy driving distance.

We could go on but it is always better to explore, discover and experience this wonderful part of the world in person so book now and start planning your next adventure.

What a wonderful place it is, looked good on the advertised photos, but exceeded our expectations when we arrived. Was clean tidy and functional. Met the owners lovely people and welcoming. Definitely book and stay again.

Excellent house in a prime position. Five minutes walk into Llandudno and a short drive to the A55. The bedrooms are all large as is the well equipped kitchen. We cooked Christmas dinner for seven people in the large oven and cooker.
