A lovely two-bedroom cottage with a cosy log burner. Situated at the foot of the Snowdon path in a quiet residential section of the village within walking distance of the Snowdon Mountain Railway, all the pubs, shops, activities and other attractions that Llanberis has to offer. A perfectly convenient getaway.

A lovely Welsh cottage, with log burner in the lounge-dining room for those quiet evenings relaxing by the fire, fully equipped kitchen with all you need to help prepare an evening meal or an energy boosting breakfast before your first ascent of Mt. Snowdon. The ground floor bedroom is bright and airy, with two single beds and ensuite shower room.On the first floor in the traditional style crog -loft (up some rather steep, open stairs) are the bathroom (bath with shower attachment) and the bedroom with King size bed, sloped ceilings (into the eves, which restricts the available headroom) and a very quirky low doorway. All this charm and character lend Y Bwthyn Llanberis a memorable, cosy feel, perfect for that winter break or summer adventure for a couple or small family in the heart of North Wales. There is a small enclosed garden to the front, off road parking for one car. Facilities include a TV, Wi-fi broadband, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, fridge freezer, garden furniture. Bedlinen and towels are provided, heating and electricity are included in the tariff. This is a no smoking property. Sorry no dogs allowed..

This was a lovely little cottage. So much character inside with the wooden beams and stone fireplace. We really enjoyed our stay here. The location was fabulous, which was key for us as we were mainly there to hike snowdon.

Thank you for your great comments. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay in the cottage and we hope you enjoyed and had a great hike on Snowdon.

Lovely traditional, cosy cottage. Well situated in LLanberis. Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The restricted headroom in the bedroom and doorway was more problematic that we expected.

The headroom isn't usually a problem but I appreciate it could be if your are tall. I'm glad you had a comfortable stay and thanks for your comments.

Somewhere you've never been? What is Nearby?

Attraction Image Llanberis

Llanberis is situated in a beautiful part of North Wales – you will find it nestled at the very base of the famously majestic Mount Snowdon, lying alongside Llyn Padarn, a glacial lake that is one of the largest natural lakes in all of Wales. This lake is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest for its status as a home to endangered plant and animal life, and is also a haven for fans of water sports: kayaking, sailing and rowing are permitted here, as is swimming.

Attraction Image Dolbadarn Castle

Found right at the base of the Llanberis Pass – the route that takes hikers from the town of Llanberis all the way to the top of Mount Snowdon – this Grade I listed building was built towards the beginning of the 13th century and still commands an imposing presence to this day.

Attraction Image The National Slate Museum

Although it might not strike you as a “thrill a minute” attraction from its name, the National Slate Museum in Llanberis actually makes for a pretty fascinating day out. Demonstrations are the highlight here – you can see trained craftsmen at work – but the walks and talks are equally interesting and illuminating, shedding some real light on the importance and history of the slate mining industry in North Wales.
