This lovingly restored cottage is situated in the heart of Snowdonia which combines the beauty of the mountains with the many high adrenaline activities available. Enjoy a mountain adventure,a trip to the beaches or just relax and enjoy this wonderful part of the country. At the end of the day return to Bron Derw where you can sit and enjoy the views outside, light the fire and relax inside or enjoy a meal at the local pub.
This attractively restored cottage features spacious beamed open plan ground floor living area with cosy log burner, two bedrooms,one king sized, one twin (beds are 2'6" wide), Bathroom with bath and separate shower.Useful outside covered area where bikes etc can be kept. Outside seating to take advantage of the wonderful views. Also, there is a steeped terraced garden with a patio area and table and chairs. Facilities include oil fired central heating,washer dryer, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine (bring your own pods) WiFi, garden furniture. Heating is included in the tariff along with an initial supply of logs. Parking for one small to medium sized car, Bedlinen and towels are provided. This is a no smoking property and has a Friday changeover date. Please note that due to the slate steps leading from the parking area to the house and the fire escape walkway on the first floor, this property may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. Location
Bron Derw is in a quiet, elevated position in the village of Dolwyddelan, between Betws y Coed and Blaenau Ffestiniog, right in the centre of the Snowdonia National Park. The views over the Lledr valley and the village are wonderful. Enjoy the surrounding mountains including walks from the door. Mountain biking with trails to suit all abilities are all in easy reach at Blaenau Festiniog, Coed y Brenin, Betws y Coed and Penmachno. Feeling adventurous, check out the four man Zip wires, and Bounce Below. For a change of pace,the coastal resorts at either Porthmadog or Llandudno are within easy driving distance.- Pub 0.1 miles

Dolwyddelan
For a medium length walk through the lush green valleys of Snowdonia, you can’t get much better than this one around Dolwyddelan. Lasting around four miles, the walk is a lovely way to spend your day, and you can even have a bite to eat at the café.
Dolwyddelan
Dolwyddelan translates to “the Meadow of Gwyddelan” in English, with Gwyddelan being a 5thcentury saint who set up his preaching cross by the hill, close to where the parish church is currently situated. According to Welsh legend, Saint Gwyddelan travelled across from Ireland, and helped to restore Christianity to the area after the Romans left.

When you are travelling through the gorgeous Snowdonia National Park, you will, at some point, need to take a bit of time for yourself to relax, unwind, and refuel with a nice, hearty meal. After all, you will likely be trekking through dense woodland, hiking up the sides of craggy peaks, and tromping your way through swampy marshlands. It’s only natural that you’ll work up an appetite!
