Butterfly Cottage was a pleasure to stay in, spotlessly clean, well equiped, comfortable with stunning surroundings and gardens to explore. Excellent food in the village. Good internet connections. The Welcome tray was lovely to enjoy on arrival, but it was hard to leave after a very relaxing holiday. This is a cottage well worth booking.

Thank you, we are pleased to hear that the cottage was such a pleasure for you to stay and that you enjoyed the surroundings.

The property was perfectly sized and equipped for a family of four. The log burner proved to be an essential luxury during a wet week. The location is excellent with fantastic hiking paths right from the gate of the property. The gardens are lovely and great for hide and seek!

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at Butterfly Cottage and that it was well equipped for you. Sounds like you really enjoyed North Wales too!

Lovely cottage with wonderful views. Set in a valley overlooking the hills and the flowing river at the bottom of the garden. A short walk from Lake Crafnant and the village of Trefiew below. The owners are closeby and on hand to help and support. Internet available and good connection. A perfect home from home.

Trefriw Woollen Mills 2 Trefriw Woollen Mills

Mills were once a huge part of Welsh industry, but over the years the number still in use has declined. However, Trefriw is one of the few wool mills still in working use. Trefriw was originally a ‘pandy’ (fulling mill in English) and hand spun and woven cloth would be washed here. It used its position on the River Crafnant to drive the waterwheels and wash the wool.

Llanrwst Path By River Llanrwst

This small market town is a classically Welsh place – small buildings on small streets, tucked away in a small parcel of countryside. It stands on the banks on the River Conwy; to enter into the natural beauty of Snowdonia, all one needs to do is to cross this river.

Llyn Crafnant Llyn Crafnant

Acknowledged as one of the beauty spots of North Wales, Llyn Crafnant is hidden within a valley in the hills above the village of Trefriw. This is a very visitor friendly location with free car park, plenty of marked walking routes and a lakeside cafe. On the eastern side of the lake Gwydir Forest reaches down to the shoreline and to the west is the Carneddau Mountain range. A small river flowing out of the northern end of the lake flows down into Trefriw where it powers the woollen mill before joining the River Conwy.
