A beautiful, spacious, modern, detached house less than 700yds from the lake front at Bala. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town, yet within an easy walk from the shops, pubs and restaurants. Off road parking for up to 3 cars, nice back garden with outdoor seating area.

A recently built, surprisingly spacious, two story, detached house with a ground floor consisting of a large comfortable lounge with patio doors to the back garden and outdoor sitting area, a second lounge or snug which is set up as a small games room with board games, wii console, xbox 360 and PlayStation 2. There is also a wide reception hall, cloakroom, ground floor WC and utility/ laundry room. The large, well equipped kitchen-diner s to the rear of the house. 

 

The first floor consists of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom (bath with shower over), the second bedroom also has a king size bed and en-suite bathroom (bath with shower over), the third bedroom has twin single beds and the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed. There is also a family shower room on this floor. 

 

Facilities include full central heating, dishwasher, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, Wifi, Sky TV, DVD, Xbox 360, playstation II and furniture for garden including a BBQ. Parking for three cars. Bed linen and towels are supplied, gas and electricity are included in the tariff. This property has a Friday changeover and will accept one dog. 

 

 

Location

Carreg Lwyd is located in the town of Bala a short walk from the shores of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) the largest natural lake in Wales, famous for its water sports, sailing, kayaking, fishing, swimming and more. Bala is a pretty, little town located just inside the Snowdonia National Park with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants and a great base for exploring the area. There are several walking and cylcing routes around the town and the Bala Lake railway runs for 9 miles along the lake. Further afield lies the rest of Snowdonia, the beach resorts of Porthmadog and Barmouth are a 45 minute drive away and Llandudno is 1 hour and 10 minutes to the north.

This walk will take you to the very top of the hill that is Moel Llyfnant, and lead you through the lost village of Tryweryn, which was partially flooded when the Llyn Celyn reservoir was opened in the early 1960s.

Lake Bala Bala

The picturesque market town of Bala is situated on the banks of the tranquil Bala Lake. It’s always popular with visitors and definitely worth visiting. “Bala” is a Welsh word that refers a route between 2 areas of wet ground, in this case the river Dee from Llyn Tegid and the Afon (river)Tryweryn. The town is very traditional, and ranks 11th in terms of the highest percentage of Welsh speakers; almost 80% of the community speak the Brittonic language fluently.
