Despite the cottage being in a remote location, we were delighted to have access to Wifi and access to a landline. The location is fantastic which was high on our priority list. Our dogs always go on holiday with us and it was nice to be able to have them on a working farm. The cottage had all the facilities we needed, including a washing machine which was useful, as we did use it. The beds were extremely comfortable, which is really important to have a restful time away from home. We didn't find the lounge charis to be particularly comfortable, but as we were hardly in there it wasn't an issue, but if we had to be in the lounge alot, it would have been a problem. One of the bedrooms is downstairs which is good for those who have difficulty with stairs and the bedrooms upstairs also had parts of the ceiling which were very low. It would have been useful to have a toilet downstairs. Tall people do have to be careful not to bang their head while walking through doorways. The drive up to the cottage is long and windy - some cars could have problems with the track as it is ruggard. We live on an untarred bridal path which is always getting weather damaged, so we are familar with working out an appropriate path to follow so the underneath of the car would not scrap - some people may find this difficult depending on their vechicle base height. For us, it meant that the cottage was further away from the road, so more remote, so it was a bonus. We felt very welcome, so a home from home.

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Ceunant and the location of the cottage

Location, location, location! We were looking for a getaway in the middle of nowhere and that is what we got. The cottage sits nestled against a mountain, with sheep the only neighbors. The scenery is breathtaking with magnificent views from every window, every angle. You can go walking directly from the front door and serious hiking/climbing is just a few minutes down the road. Many attractions (Lake Vyrnwy, mountain path, , Harlech castle, Harlech beach, or Cader Idris) reached in 30-60 minutes drive. The cottage is cosy with many original features and the hosts were lovely!

Thank you for your great review. It sounds like Ceunant ticked all the right boxes for you. We look forward to helping you with a booking in the future.
