Location

Ty Doli is a delightful, one bedroom, terraced cottage surrounded by open fields on the outskirts of the village of Henryd just outside the Snowdonia National Park in the Conwy Valley. Half way between Conwy Castle on the North Coast and the little village of Rowen to the South about 2.5 miles from each (yet only a little over a mile from the local pub and restaurant The Groes Inn). A beautiful, tranquil spot close to everything yet away from the hustle and bustle of the busier tourist destinations. Not far from the roman road walk which leads up over the Carneddau mountains to Abergwyngregyn (famous for the Aber Falls which lie in the valley above the village).

Very clean comfortable cottage with distant views front & back in a quiet location a couple of miles from Conwy. Breakfast outside at the rear facing the sun. Welcome pack was a nice touch. Kitchen well equipped, conservatory light and airy.

We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the cottage comfortable.

Well equipped cottage in very peaceful hamlet. Had everything we required ( and more!). Nice outside sitting area at back. Extremely clean and well maintained. Steep stairs but this was not a problem for us although maybe for some

Thank you for your great comments, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and hope you are able to return to North Wales in the not too distant future

Somewhere you've never been? What is Nearby?

Attraction Image The Groes Inn

This family run restaurant overlooks the beautiful Conwy Estuary, giving you some incredible views while you dine. It was once an old coaching inn, and aside from some fabulous décor and all the modern conveniences we’ve come to take for granted, it hasn’t changed all that much over the centuries.

Attraction Image Conwy Castle

Conwy Castle is easily the most spectacular of all the castles in North Wales (and cost the most to build, too!). The castle was built for Edward I by Master James of St George, and is one of the most impressive surviving medieval fortifications in Britain.

Attraction Image Conwy Town Walls

The town walls of Conwy are a major tourist attraction for the town, and with good reason: they are regarded as one of the most impressive and most intact walled circuits in all of Europe. Dating back to the late 13th century, they are as old as the town itself, and constructed by Edward I to pair with the equally impressive Conwy Castle, they form a foreboding defensive installation.
