National White Water Centre
The National White Water Centre is the main Welsh white water training centre and the home of white water rafting and kayaking in the UK. Based on the River Tryweryn in Snowdonia National Park, the water levels are dam-controlled so the rapids rage year-round and the river conditions are consistently reliable.
Pili Palas is one of the highest rated family attractions on the Isle of Anglesey, and once you’re here it is easy to see why. Whatever the weather, come rain or shine, you and the whole family can enjoy the lush natural world of Pili Palas.
Plas Menai National Outdoor Centre
Plas Menai is the National Outdoor Centre for Wales, so you know that you’re in for a treat – as long as you like your outdoor activities, that is! Make sure you come prepared: you are going to need towels and swimming costumes if you want to make the most of your time here.
Plas Power Adventure
Plas Power Adventure is a great place for a day out with the kids – so great, in fact, that it has been voted the top family attraction in and around Wrexham. Take a look on TripAdvisor if you don’t believe us!
If you and the family decide that you really want to make a splash, then be sure to check out Rapid Horizons. Found in the coastal resort town of Llangollen, Rapid Horizons takes you on a fun and thrilling exploration of the lovely River Dee.
If you are in North Wales with the kids and you all fancy a fun-filled day out that’s full of fascinating sea life, then the SeaQuarium at Rhyl is the place for you. Its location is lovely enough for a visit – it sits directly on the wondrous North Wales coast, and the open seafront allows you to take in the splendour of the views.
The National Slate Museum
Although it might not strike you as a “thrill a minute” attraction from its name, the National Slate Museum in Llanberis actually makes for a pretty fascinating day out. Demonstrations are the highlight here – you can see trained craftsmen at work – but the walks and talks are equally interesting and illuminating, shedding some real light on the importance and history of the slate mining industry in North Wales.
The Palace Fun Centre
The Palace Fun Centre is one of the best family attractions in Rhyl, giving you a range of different activities that everyone is bound to enjoy taking part in. There is a little something for everyone, suiting children of all ages and interests.
