A World Heritage Site, Beaumaris Castle is regarded by UNESCO as one of the finest examples of late 13th century military architecture in all of Europe. It is also known as the most “technically perfect” castle in Great Britain, with almost perfect symmetry in its architecture.

Built by Hansom in 1829, Beaumaris Gaol might not be a functioning prison these days but it’s still an interesting day out for the whole family. Walking through the dimly-lit corridors is an eerie experience as you learn all about what prison life was life in Victorian times and hear some of the sad tales of the inmates.

Benllech Beach is a beautiful, long stretch of golden sands, located on the eastern coast of the lovely Isle of Anglesey. It is a popular destination among both tourists and locals alike – in a poll conducted by the Welsh newspaper The Daily Post, Benllech was voted as the fourth best beach in all of North Wales.

Just 10km south of Llandudno, lies one of Wales’ most beautiful gardens. Built and created by five generations of one family, Bodnant Garden is an unmissable haven of colour, wildlife and peace and quiet.

The Bodnant Welsh Food Centre is a true culinary delight. Buy locally produced food in the farm shop including a butcher and bakery; eat at the Hayloft Restaurant or Furnace Tea Room or why not learn how to do it yourself at the Cookery or Wine School?

We all know that the kids love soft play centres, but so do the adults! Bonkerz Fun Centre in Llandudno is different to your average play centre and the main play centre is suitable for all ages – even the parents!

This is the ultimate Welsh event for any engine heads or petrol junkies out there – the Cambrian Rally. Created by the North Wales Car Club (formed in 1955), the Cambrian Rally is biggest event and held in the forests of North Wales.

Coed y Gopa is a popular stretch of woodland that is located on a limestone hillside within the beautiful Vale of Clwyd. It is a beautiful place that is filled with a wide variety of plant and animal life, perfect for a long walk by yourself. The forest overlooks the little town of Abergele, and can provide you with some breath-taking views of the coast.
