Family-Friendly Airworld Aviation Museum, Caernarfon
Open daily 10am - 4pm
Adults £6.50, Concessions £5, Family ticket £17.50

For any budding pilots or anyone who occasionally looks to the sky in wonder, the Airworld Aviation Museum in Dinas Dinlle, Caernarfon, makes for a good day out.

The Airworld Aviation Museum is an interactive one, and plays host to an impressive collection of aircrafts from across the years. Unlike most other aviation museums, Airworld offers real cockpit experiences, meaning you can see for yourself how being in the pilot’s seat might have felt.

In terms of the aircraft on display here, some of the prize pieces include the DH Vampire, the Hawker Sea Hawk, the Bae Harrier and the Westland Whirlwind helicopter, direct from the RAF Mountain Rescue Services.

Other than the various real vehicles, there is also a great collection of model aircrafts which you can look at, as well as a mini cinema in which you can watch short films about the aircraft featured here.

Once you’re finished in the museum, take a load off and grab a bite to eat in the café.
