Anything with dinosaurs is bound to be a winner with the kids - so you know they’ll enjoy Stone Science. The family-owned museum offers a unique journey through 650 million years of history and boasts a collection of fossils and models.

Inside the museum you’ll find lots of dioramas which show how the Earth evolved and how dinosaurs came to be and then become extinct. You’ll see thousands of minerals, crystals, fossils and even Native American arrowheads and weapons. And you don’t have to worry about the kids touching things they shouldn’t – a lot of the exhibitions are interactive and there are also videos for both children and adults to enjoy!

The expert staff will also be on hand to offer any further help and information on the geological and archaeological exhibits.

Outside there is also a safe play area for the kids which includes pet goats and chickens as well as a full size Iron Age Round House replica and similar reconstructions. For budding archaeologists there are also fossils, minerals, crystals, dinosaur models, stone crafts and jewellery available at the on-site gift shop.
