If you love a stroll around the green, there are some beautiful golf courses in North Wales. Whether you fancy yourself as the next Tiger Woods or you’re just getting to grips with which club’s which, these North Wales golf courses are perfect either way…

1. Clwb Golff Abersoch Golf Club, Abersoch

Clwb Golff in Abersoch was ranked in the top 25 golf courses in Wales in 2015, so you can be sure that visiting this lovely seaside green will be an enjoyable experience. Located along the edge of a beautiful beach, the views from this course are lovely.

This particular course is an 18 hole, par 69. If you play at this course in the morning, enjoy a spot of lunch at the club or head into Abersoch itself for a late seaside lunch. Perfect!

2. North Wales Golf Club, Llandudno West Shore

North Wales Golf Club Llandudno 2

North Wales Golf Club is known to be one of the drier courses in North Wales due to their significant investment in drainage over the past few years. With beautiful views across Llandudno bay, picturesque is one word to describe your golfing experience on this course.

Of course, Llandudno has a great deal to offer too, so if you’re still up for a challenge after 18-holes, why not hop on the Great Orme tramway, try some ski-ing or enjoy some fish & chips at the seaside!

3. Rhuddlan Golf Club

Rhuddlan Golf Club is a par 72 course, and is known for its idyllic setting in a gently undulating parkland. If you love golf, but are not a massive fan of walking around all 18-holes, Rhuddlan offers buggy hire for a very reasonable price.

If you’re looking for a bit of a golfing holiday, why not pay a one-time fee to play at four great North Walian courses including; Rhyl, Rhuddlan, St Melyd and Prestatyn! You could make a week of it, spending time with friends or love ones by hiring a cosy cottage.

4. Vale of Llangollen Golf Club

The Vale of Llangollen Golf Club is well regarded, having been awarded a Gold Status by the HSBC system. It is also known as one of the best inland courses in North Wales! As a par 73 course, there are some challenging holes, however if you’re up for that challenge, this could be the course for you.

Set in the valley bottom, there are great views over the Welsh hills, so whether you’re pro or an amateur, this course will surely be very enjoyable!

5. Bulls Bay Golf Club, Amlwch

Another seaside club, Bulls Bay offers spectacular scenery of the Anglesey coastline. The club motto is “her de gar hen dir” meaning a ‘fair challenge on ancient land’, indicating that this course can be a little tricky with all of its hills and falls.

It is worth visiting this course even if you only take in the views and the fresh Welsh country air! There are also buggy and electric trolley hire, if you so need – a real hidden gem worth seeking out.

If you fancy a week away with friends playing golf and enjoying the fresh country air, why not take a look at all the cottages we have on offer
