Portmeirion, otherwise known as 'little Italy', is the perfect honeymoon spot. With its picturesque statues, views over the bay and oldy-worldy feel, it really is a magical destination.

Take some time to explore the Central Piazza, surrounded by houses inspired by the Riviera, stop off for a romantic lunch in the conservatory brasserie of Castell Deudraeth, or if you’re a music-loving couple, why not visit in the summer months and enjoy the sunshine at Festival No. 6.

Llangollen is a small town nestled in Denbighshire, and has activities to keep you busy for weeks. Whether you take your time seeing the sights on the Llangollen railway, visit the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (the longest and highest aqueduct in Great Britain) or have a day of culture in the Valle Crucis Abbey, it is the perfect place to spend some quality time with your other half.

In July, the town hosts the International Eisteddfod, which is a very popular Welsh festival of literature, music and performance - not one to be missed.
