If your kids love animals and you’re visiting North Wales, you’re in luck! North Wales is not only full of native species, it also has a range of zoos and animal parks with an array of exotic animals for you and the kids to see!

We’ve found the best 7 days out for your animal-loving kids…

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The Welsh Mountain Zoo is home to hundreds of exotic animals. From the small red squirrels to a huge brown bear, there’s a great range of animals for the kids to see. Plus, there is also a large botanical garden to explore, a Jungle Adventureland which could keep the kids busy for hours and a café overlooking the penguin enclosure when your feet need a rest! A fantastic day out!

Anglesey Sea Zoo

If your little one stares at your goldfish in amazement, just image seeing their faces when they see hundreds of exotic fish! From the sea horse breeding zone, to the interactive rock pool sessions, Anglesey Sea Zoo is not only educational but super fun for the whole family! For the little princesses; they can even choose a pearl oyster and watch as it’s opened, cleaned and valued.  A real special memento!

Pili Palas Nature World

Pili

Pili Palas, meaning butterfly house in English, is known for having hundreds and thousands of butterflies. But there is so much more! Whether you and the kids are a fan of meerkats (simples!), creepy crawlies or want to visit the donkeys on the farm yard, there’s a whole range of fluffy and scaly animals to see! Plus, at £7.95 for adults and £7.25 for children, it’s a real bargain day out in the heart of Anglesey?

Why don’t you rent a cottage on the isle of Anglesey and visit the zoo and Pili Palas as a treat for the kids? Enjoy some exciting days out and then head back to the cottage for a quiet evening before an early night to prepare for the next day of excitement! If the weather is nice, you could even get down to the beach - we know you love to make a sandcastle, or two!

Gypsy Wood Park

Gypsy Wood Park is a great day out for younger children as there is a range of activities which will definitely keep them entertained all day long! Whether you hop on Woody’s Train, or head to see the ponies, donkeys, pygmy goats and much more! There are opportunities every day at 13:40 to meet Simba and Betty, the famous Gypsy Wood Guinea pigs and even to meet their world’s smallest sheep, Oussant! You can be sure that your little one will be ready for their bed after an exciting day at Gypsy Wood Park!

Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm

From little puppies, to cows and piglets, Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm is full of adorable animals for your little monkeys to visit! They will have the chance to hand feed some of the large animals such as lambs, and handle animals such as puppies and rabbits! We hope the ranch doesn’t leave your little one wanting a puppy!

These are just a few of the great places you can take your animal-mad kids to in North Wales! Take a week to explore with the kids, the perfect holiday without the great cost!
