Benllech Beach is a beautiful, long stretch of golden sands, located on the eastern coast of the lovely Isle of Anglesey. It is a popular destination among both tourists and locals alike – in a poll conducted by the Welsh newspaper The Daily Post, Benllech was voted as the fourth best beach in all of North Wales.

It is the perfect beach for a number of different coastal activities, including swimming, wind surfing, and even a spot of sea fishing! And with plenty of rock pools, it’s also great for getting up close and personal to crabs, starfish and the like.

Dogs are allowed on the beach all year round, and there are plenty of different facilities in the area, such as a café, toilets, shops and a first aid point. The beach has been granted two prestigious awards: the Blue Flag Award and the Marine Conservation Society Recommendation, meaning that you know you’re heading to a clean and pristine location.

Nearby are many other lovely beaches, including St. Davids, Red Wharf Bay and Traeth Bychan. Children will enjoy the area greatly, with local attractions including Miri Mawr, a jungle play area with ball pools and rope nets, and Pili Palas Nature World, with butterflies, meerkats and bouncy castles.
