1. Llandudno Pier

Llandudno is a popular fishing destination due the diversity of fish within the area, including pollock, mackerel, and dogfish. Walk along the pier and find a good spot to set up for the day, or try fishing from the water’s edge.

Base yourself in one of our Llandudno cottages, then drive on to areas such as Old Colwyn Beach, where some of the largest fish can be found, including whiting, codling, and bass.

A short drive from Llandudno is the Conwy River – another fabulous fishing spot. This area offers a truly exciting fishing experience.

2. Pwllheli Beach

Pwllheli Beach is known for having a variety of fish within its waters which can make for an interesting day’s fishing. The harbour channel has a large quantity of bass but during the summer months, the area can have quite a high boat traffic.

Head down to the beach for a chance of catching black bream, dogfish, gurnard, and mackerel!

Stay at one of our Llyn Penisula holiday cottages and you'll have easy access to all the great fishing spots along this coastal area.

The Ogwen Valley has a range of fishing conditions for experienced and novice fishers. The river provides a mix of fast flowing water, as well as a variety of sizes in pools.

For those who typically fish using fly fishing techniques, you’re in luck! Fly fishers often catch a range of brown trout and sea trout, but if you want to catch salmon, traditional spinning is advised. There are four lakes in the area that have wild brown trout and rainbow trout, too!
