Location

This beautiful house sits towards the northern edge of the coastal village of Benllech, overlooking the bay on the east coast of the Isle of Anglesey. The short walk down from the house through the village passes a small play area, various cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs until you reach the lovely sandy beach. Just past the small southern headland of Benllech Sand is Red Wharf Bay (Traeth-Coch), an impressive 2.5 miles long stretch of beach skirted on its eastern edge by Pentraeth Forest (home to red squirrels), and if you are lucky enough, you may even spot an Otter around the mouth of the river Nodwydd which opens into the bay. A little further on round the coast, you come to the pretty castle town of Beaumaris. Where you can explore the history of the island or go for a boat trip, sightseeing, fishing or a thrill-seeking RIB ride. Venture a little further afield, and the whole Island opens up to you with its 130 miles of coastline, areas of outstanding natural beauty, RSPB bird reserves, museums, art galleries, National Trust land and property and the short drive onto the mainland and into the Snowdonia National Park where Snowdon itself stands majestically surrounded by stunning scenery and rich history. Also within easy reach are the famous Zip World, the World Heritage site of Conwy and the impressive Caernarfon Castle, also the starting point of the Welsh Highland Steam Railway.
