Family-Friendly Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, Flintshire
March to October daily, 10:00-16:30
Adults £6.70, Concessions £5.50, Children £3.90, Family £18.90

Fancy taking the kids (and perhaps even the dog) back to nature for a bit? Well there is no better place to do just that than the Greenfield Valley Heritage Park, which you will find just outside of Holywell in North Wales. The park covers around 70 acres of beautiful land, and goes into the history and heritage of the local farming community, which has its roots all the way back to the Tudor times.

There are lots of different activities for the children all year round, should the museum and the farm not prove stimulating enough. The Mega Tower Maze is one of the real stars of the show, but younger children will love the indoor soft play area and the Toddler Tractor Heaven. There’s also the more traditional swings for the whole family, as well as an adventure tree house for extra fun.

During school holidays, you can expect to find a wide range of different activities – these change day by day, so you’d be best off checking their website in advance for the current programme.

As for your canine friends, dogs are welcome in the Heritage Park as long as they are kept under control, and they must be on their leads when near the farm and the museum.

Attraction Image Denbighshire

The county of Denbighshire in North Wales is a beautiful one, filled with a wide variety of natural wonders, as well as plenty of man-made attractions to boot. Denbighshire sits right at the top of Wales, bordering the Irish Sea, and is so easterly as to come as close as twenty miles to the English border.

Attraction Image Conwy Castle

Conwy Castle is easily the most spectacular of all the castles in North Wales (and cost the most to build, too!). The castle was built for Edward I by Master James of St George, and is one of the most impressive surviving medieval fortifications in Britain.
