Rainy Day Activities Oriel Ynys Môn, Art Gallery, Anglesey
Opening times: Daily 10:30-17:00
Price: Free

Oriel Ynys Môn is Anglesey’s centre for art and history, with its main art gallery hosting up to eight exhibitions every year. Here you can see the work of local, national and international artists. Oriel Ynys Môn also features the Long Gallery and Central Gallery which exhibit six shows annually.

And it’s not just art that visitors can learn about. Don’t miss a visit to The History Gallery, which provides a glimpse into the story of Anglesey in times gone by. Here you can gain an insight into the island’s people, heritage and habitats as well as its formation and development over the years. There is a wealth of information to discover such as shipwrecks and archaeological discoveries.

You can also treat yourself or somebody else to a book, greeting card, toy or unique gift from the Jac Do shop which boasts a superb range from some of the most innovative cratfworkers out there. Alternatively you can browse The Nyth (or, in English, The Nest) which is an extension of the shop – a display area where you can purchase original artwork by a vast array of artists, ready to take home with you on the day of purchase.

The gallery also holds classes and workshops including Life Drawing.
