Event Llangollen Walking Weekend, Denbighshire
Saturday 29th April – Monday 1st May 2017, In and around Llangollen

If you are a keen walker – or even if you just like to go for short, leisurely strolls around beautiful parts of the United Kingdom – then the Llangollen Walking Weekend is the event for you. It is open to walkers and hikers of all ages and abilities, whether you want to go for a short wander or a longer trek.

There are plenty of different walks available to enjoy on this day of fun, with short, medium and long routes on offer. The sheer variety is astounding – you can go on a culinary tour of the area on a food and drink walk, you can get muddy and close to nature on a wilderness walk, you can learn about the town through the centuries on a history walk (with a Blue Badge guide), and two of the walks even feature a ride on the Llangollen Steam Railway!

You can also try a bit of Nordic walking or travel along sections of the Offa’s Dyke Path, as well as enjoying free Welsh beer and chocolate, plus an evening filled with Welsh folk music and local food and drink. Perfect!
