Ideal for crafters, Tan y Ddraig (or ‘Dragon’s Fire’ in English) is a new pottery studio and ceramic café in Llanberis where you can relax and get creative.

Once you’re there you can choose a piece of pottery such as a mug, plate or trinket box and then get to work designing and creating a masterpiece. You can let your imagination run riot or use one of the studio’s books to help get those creative juices flowing. While you paint you can also enjoy a slice of cake and a hot drink from the Tan y Ddraig café. Each piece is individually priced and includes everything from time and resources in the studio to the glazing and firing, so there’s something for every budget.

Once you’re happy with your pottery the staff will glaze and fire your creation to give it that professional edge and you’ll be able to pick it up within the week. They can also arrange postage for an additional charge if you’re heading out of the area.

You could even pop along and personalise a gift for a special occasion – you can paint plates for retirements and weddings, paint your child’s handprint and footprint onto a mug or make a keepsake with an imprint of your child’s hand.
